Up on Amazon…

overseas, that is. 🙂

I found my first novel–ONE REAL COWBOY–listed on Amazon in Germany. Yes, I googled my name. What can I say?

Not listed in the U.S. yet. Still, it’s a thrill beyond words to see ORC on Amazon. Michelle Diener sent me the urls for ORC in France, U.K., and the Amazon equivalent in South Africa.

Progress

Despite taxiing my mom to the doctor way too frequently, I’m making progress on my option book. There was a point where that white screen was mighty intimidating. It didn’t help that the wrong heroine stepped on stage and promptly clammed up. I gave her a chance, really I did. But after a week of Ms Hoity-toity’s silence, I shoved her off stage and opened the door to my imagination regarding a new heroine. And wow did she come charging in. Suffice to say I’m on a roll and loving it. 🙂

My first newsletter went out as scheduled. Big whew! I’m taking a couple of tech related workshops this month as well as diving into research for another proposal I hope to get together before Christmas.

All and all, it’s going to be a busy fall.

Until next time…

November contest

My first newsletter goes out Nov 2 and the signup form is on my home page. All subscribers are automatically entered for my monthly contests. For November, I’m giving away CHARMING JO by Laura Drewry, and WHIRLWIND BRIDE by Debra Cowan.

New cover and new contest

My cover for CHRISTMAS SHOWDOWN is posted on my website under books. Take a look at my yummy cowboy. 🙂

Beginning next month, I’ll start hosting monthly contests on my website. The prizes will be new books. All you have to do to enter is sign up for my newsletter. The form is on my home page.

Okay, back to working on proposals and catching up on everything that went by the wayside while I was facing double deadlines. We’re way too close to the Holidays and I’m so not ready. Yikes!

Actually on schedule

Hard to believe, but I really did finish my short story for Samhain, at least the first draft of it. Yay!

It’s been a spell since I wrote a short story, so I did a lot of feeling my way through it in parts. Plus, this story’s word count falls between what I wrote before in a short, and shorter than novella length, so that posed special problems to get a plot that wasn’t bloated yet had a story and arc and all that good story stuff to carry it through and leave the reader with a smile.

I have a lot of tweaking to do before sending it off to my editor, but I can get that done quickly (she said with fingers crossed. ) 🙂

If all goes well and the editor actually likes it, it’ll be available Dec 19 at Samhain as a download. I’ll know more later and should have a cover to put up by next month. I think.

I’ve gotta tell you I’m looking forward to not having any deadline for a while. There are things around the house that are desperately crying out for attention, and I could also use a rest from the hectic pace.

So that’s the update for now.
