I’m blogging today at Jaunty Quills, celebrating the release of my second Harlequin Presents, Proud Revenge Passionate Wedlock. This novel is an eharlequin and Borders Group top ten bestseller! I’ll give away an autographed copy to one commenter, so pop over to Jaunty Quills today.
My agent notified me today that A Cowboy Christmas hit the Nielson Bookscan last week, snagging the number 67 slot on the list! This is the first time one of my historical romances has made a bestselling list. Yeehaw!
About five minutes before I planned to leave for my romance chapter meeting on Saturday, there was a wreck in front of my house. This is the second three-car pile-up in a two month span. This time my mail box survived, but I don’t have high hopes that it will have a long life.
People are suddenly driving way too fast and too recklessly on my street. They should rename it Kansas Speedway 2.
There’s a side street across from my house and any car trying to turn into it is subject to getting rear-ended. Hard. That looks like what happened this time, which is a repeat.
A couple of people we taken off in an ambulance. The fire department was on hand to deal with the spilled gasoline and/or antifreeze. Cops were measurely distances between impact and cars. Car trim, glass and debris littered the street.
With the first wreck, it was just good luck that nobody was walking on the sidewalk at the time. We have a lot of walkers, including kids on their way and from school. The last wreck was contained to the street.
Something is going to have to be done — probably a reduction in speed. I’m not going to hold much hope that drivers will suddenly become attentive.
In case you hadn’t heard yet, I have a trailer for A Cowboy Christmas. This is really a trailer for the entire series and is now posted on my publisher’s website. Click to watch.
Also, I’ve joined the Sisterhood of the Jaunty Quills blog. I’ve been a fan of their blog since it began. They are a great group of authors and I’m very happy to be a JQ now. There are often books given away, so drop by and enter the contests. October I’ll host two separate giveaways on my two posts and the prizes will be my two new releases — A Cowboy Christmas and Proud Revenge Passionate Wedlock.
So drop by anytime.
Seriously time just seems to fly by any more. Here we are in September — Labor Day weekend no less!
This entire summer didn’t seem normal to me and a big reason was my unreal deadlines. But yay! I turned in my third Presents and will now await the verdict.
This book is set in Tuscany and the incredibly fabulous slice of heaven known at Cinque Terre. I want to go there! It so looks like the perfect writer’s escape.
One of the doctors I work for has been there and we’ve yakked about the incredible beauty of the place — hers from being there and diving off the rocks into the sea, and mine from my research and imagination. Thanks mucho Dr. S!!!
Next week it’s nose to the grindstone because I have two major deadlines to meet. The final Lost Sons Trilogy historical is due Jan 3. The fourth Presents is due Feb 1. God help me…
Hope everyone has great plans for the looong weekend. I plan to shop and do some serious cleaning at the house. What about you? Anything really fun planned?
